Description
Building poles are selected and prepared from straight, solid and undamaged celery-top pine logs. They are durable, attractive, chemical-free and cost-effective alternatives to other wood or steel pole products for building stumps or pole frame construction. Celery-top pine poles are available from ISTT Geeveston and should be ordered in advance to allow suitable pieces to be selected from stock or sourced from harvesting operations, then trimmed and cut to length. Building poles are sold in six diameter classes from 150 mm to 450 mm and prices per lineal range from $12.50 / m to $45.50 per metre but the most common sizes are $17.50, $22.00 or $34.00 per metre, loaded for safe transport. Half poles are easy to produce on our bandsaw mill and simplify construction work.
