Silver Wattle, Acacia dealbata, grow quickly into tall straight trees in eucalypt forests and in pure wattle stands.
It is abundant in both dry and wet forests statewide.
Silver wattle timber is similar to blackwood however growth rings are wider and its colour is lighter with more pink colouring than blackwood.
Some logs can contain fiddle-back grain or tear drop figure.
