Log 12, Sassafras. A log with plain wood, (not enough black-heart at the head end to rate as black-heart) with a large limb at the butt end approximately 55cm X 34cm. Shallow damage, 10 cm thick, at the head end for about 1.5m and a large deep split at this end. It should provide clear timber as boards, slabs or squares. Length 3.1 metres, butt diameter 50 cm adjusted, head diameter 49 cm, volume 0.58 cubic metres, weight about 650 kg. This log could milled to order at IST Geeveston on their Woodmizer bandsaw mill at $220 / hour; the timber can be collected or freighted to your address strapped and wrapped on a pallet.
