Log 30 Myrtle, downer

Log 30, Myrtle, downer.  This log was salvaged from an area harvested in the Florentine valley during the 1960's, from the regenerated forest which is now being harvested.  Naturally its sapwood has rotted away while rot and pin hole borer traces are likely to affect some heartwood.  The head end is obviously not solid but burls and flame figure are visible at the butt end, which appears fairly solid. Length 4.3 metres, adjusted butt diameter 60 cm, adjusted head diameter 60 cm, volume about 0.6 - 0.8 cubic metres not including rot at the head end, weight about 1000 kg.  This log could milled to order at IST Geeveston on their Woodmizer bandsaw mill at $220 / hour; the timber can be collected or freighted to your address strapped and wrapped on a pallet.
