Log 32, Myrtle, downer

Log 32, Myrtle, downer.  This log was salvaged from an area harvested in the Florentine valley during the 1960's, from the regenerated forest which is now being harvested.  Naturally its sapwood has rotted away while rot and pin hole borer traces are likely to affect some heartwood.  This log has obvious rot at each end, less at the head end.  Length 2.1 metres, adjusted butt diameter 70 cm, adjusted head diameter 50 cm, volume about 0.5 cubic metres, weight about 500 kg.  This log could milled to order at IST Geeveston on their Woodmizer bandsaw mill at $220 / hour; the timber can be collected or freighted to your address strapped and wrapped on a pallet.
