Log 33, Myrtle, downer

Log 33, Myrtle, downer.  This log was salvaged from an area harvested in the Florentine valley during the 1960's, from the regenerated forest which is now being harvested.  Naturally its sapwood has rotted away while rot and pin hole borer traces are likely to affect some heartwood.  Apart from the hole at the butt end, both ends appear fairly solid. Length 2.2 metres, adjusted butt diameter 50 cm, head diameter 45 cm, volume about 0.35 cubic metres, weight about 350 kg.  This log could milled to order at IST Geeveston on their Woodmizer bandsaw mill at $220 / hour; the timber can be collected or freighted to your address strapped and wrapped on a pallet.
