Log 43, Silver wattle. An angular shaped log with sun cracks in the sapwood, moderate spiral grain, a split across the butt end, good quality. It should be milled in two pieces for better timber recovery. Length 4.5 metres, butt diameter 53 cm, head diameter 47 cm, volume 0.88 cubic metres, weight about 900 kg. This log could milled to order at IST Geeveston on their Woodmizer bandsaw mill at $220 / hour; the timber can be collected or freighted to your address strapped and wrapped on a pallet.
